Drama and Theatre
The course provides a foundation for further study or a career in film or theatre and also essential skills to support public speaking, presenting, team leading, problem-solving, creative thinking and self-expression. It will demonstrate to a future employer, educator or trainer that you have a broad skillset and are a rounded and resilient individual with an aptitude for creative, practical and theoretical work.
Entry requirements: At least a Grade 6 in Drama GCSE and Grade 5 in English Language GCSE. If you have not completed a GCSE in Drama you may be able to provide alternative evidence of your aptitude and enthusiasm for the subject.
Qualities and skills required: You must be able to reflect critically on your own work and the work of others. You should have an active interest in the performing arts, live theatre and play texts; courage to practically explore ideas, topics and texts; and a willingness to express your opinions clearly and cogently.
