The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) allows you to pursue, in depth, a topic of your choice and produce either a dissertation, an investigation, an artefact or a performance as a result of their research. You are able to develop university-level research and academic writing skills and an excellent knowledge of their chosen topic which can be quoted in university applications and discussed at interview. It will help you learn how to be critical thinkers and develop the skills of independent learning; project management; planning; research; investigation; problem-solving and written and presentation skills.
Entry requirements: A Grade 4 in English Language GCSE.
Qualities and skills required: The EPQ is designed to develop the independent learning skills and personal resilience that is so valued both by universities and by employers. It allows students to set their own challenge and organise their own plans for its successful completion.
