Year 11 Go Out in Style with Dress-Up Day Celebration
As the GCSE exam season approaches, our Year 11 students marked their final day of school with a celebration full of colour, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Dress-Up Day brought out the best in everyone’s creativity, with both students and staff arriving in costumes that had clearly been planned with care—and a sense of humour!
The festivities began with a relaxed breakfast in the canteen, giving everyone a chance to gather and enjoy the morning together. That was followed by a high-energy rave in the Pavilion, where music and dancing set the tone for a day of joy. During break, students signed each other’s shirts—a time-honoured tradition—and posed for a group photo to capture the moment.
The day concluded with a final assembly filled with reflection, applause, and emotion. As the Year 11s made their way out of the buildings, they were cheered on through a symbolic ‘guard of love.’ As Mr Cozier mentioned: “The celebration guard of honour, with students from Years 7 to 10 and some sixth formers lining the route as Year 11 left the site, was a moving and powerful moment—a fitting farewell to a remarkable year group.”
We’re incredibly proud of our Year 11 cohort and everything they’ve achieved so far. Best of luck in your upcoming exams—you’ve got this!
