Black History Month
There are lots going on for this years Black History Month at Highgate Wood School, including the drama production of ‘Our History Through the Words of Maya Angelou’.
Highgate Wood School enjoys celebrating Black History Month. This year, together with assemblies and activities in class, we will also be staging a drama production on 29th and 30th October. We are also in the process of finalising an exciting event based around the life of one of our ex-students, the celebrated footballer Laurie Cunningham.

Come along to our school production
Our talented students have worked extremely hard for the production of ‘Our History Through the Words of Maya Angelou’. The performance is powerful and demonstrates the courage and resilience of some iconic African-American figures and the injustice they were faced with.
Laurie Cunningham Workshop
Highgate Wood School will be hosting a two hour production, workshop and Q&A session. The event is tied in to the KickItOut Campaign and a new play about the life of Laurie Cunningham (who used to attend HWS). It will be run by the actors and crew from the production. More information will be posted here by the end of the day (16/10/19).
