Reclaim these Streets
On Friday, 19th March, Highgate Wood School sixth form rallied together to raise awareness about the sexual harassment that is being experienced by themselves and their peers, as well as highlighting the issues to the younger years within the school. Primarily the year 13 girls, with help from the year 12s, organised the vigil and together created posters to put up around the school, as well as organising a chalk display in the playground that could be viewed by students and staff.
We as a sixth form also came together and wore red and braids as a show of solidarity and support for those who have experienced sexual harassment. We intend to continue to support this matter until we see change happening within our society and in the wider global context. Follow our journey by following our instagram account @hwsfeminism.
