Ms Vazquez writes:
Our Year 10 students embarked on an exciting school trip to Granada, which proved to be an enriching and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the magnificent La Alhambra, where the students delved into the fascinating history of this iconic fortress-palace.
The educational tour was complemented by a fun and engaging picture treasure hunt, allowing students to explore Granada in a more interactive manner. The group indulged in a classic Spanish treat, chocolate con churros, which was a hit among the students.
The adventure included also a leisurely walk through the charming AlbaicÃn area. This historic district, with its narrow winding streets and whitewashed houses, offered a picturesque backdrop and a glimpse into Granada’s rich cultural heritage. Students enjoyed a variety of tapas, savouring the local flavours and culinary delights.
The students experienced the passionate rhythms of flamenco, joining in a dance that captured the spirit of Andalusian culture. The trip concluded with a refreshing swim in the sea at Nerja, where the sunny weather added to the perfect ending of a wonderful trip.
Throughout the excursion, the students displayed exemplary behaviour, making the trip enjoyable and hassle-free for the accompanying staff. Overall, the Year 10 trip to Granada was a fantastic blend of education, culture, and fun, creating lasting memories for all who participated.
