Year 9 Ski Trip to Claviere, Italy
Between 8th and 15th February, sixty of our Year 9 students embarked on an unforgettable ski trip to Claviere, Italy, accompanied by six dedicated teachers. The group stayed at the welcoming Hotel Roma, located just a few minutes’ walk from the ski slopes, providing easy access to the stunning terrain.
Over the course of six days, students enjoyed two ski sessions each day, with slopes catering to all abilities. Whether they were beginners, lower-intermediate, higher-intermediate, or advanced skiers, every student had the opportunity to improve their skills and tackle challenges suited to their level. The instructors were excellent, offering guidance and support that helped students gain confidence on the slopes.
In addition to skiing, the trip was filled with exciting evening activities. The group enjoyed a traditional pizza night, where they indulged in authentic Italian pizza—definitely a highlight for many! Another memorable experience was the thrilling skidoo ride, followed by delicious crepes and hot chocolate, making for a perfect winter evening!
Throughout the trip, students also had some free time to explore the charming town of Claviere. Whether they were enjoying the local sights, souvenir shopping, or relaxing with friends, there was plenty of opportunity for personal exploration and bonding.
The students displayed excellent behaviour throughout the trip, showing responsibility, respect for others, and a great attitude towards their skiing challenges. Not only did they have a wonderful time, but they also learned valuable lessons about perseverance, teamwork, and the joys of winter sports. It was a trip that will surely be remembered for years to come!
