Cashless Catering
Our computer network extends to the Dining Hall where it supports the system of cashless catering which removes the need for students to bring money into school. Highgate Wood School works with Scopay to allow payments to be made online.
The Dining Hall
The Dining Hall is a bright and airy space, making it ideal not only for mealtimes but also as a social space shared by students and staff. Our modernisation programme also included the refurbishment of the Main Hall which is now a functional and attractive performance space that supports the high quality of performance and production that has characterised Highgate Wood School for many years.
Free School Meals
Payments for Free School Meals are automatically credited to the student’s proximity card, and appear every day in the morning. Students on Free School Meals are also able to top up their cards with money or online in exactly the same way as all students. If a student on FSM is absent for a day, or fails to use their FSM money that day’s Free School Meal automatically disappears after lunch.
You can get free meals if your child attends Highgate Wood School and you get one of the benefits or NASS support shown below. Highgate Wood School also receives additional funding based on the number of students with Free School Meals. It therefore benefits all students if families who are eligible to free school meals apply, even it they choose not to take up the offer.
If you wish to apply for Free School Meals simply complete the eligibility check below.
