Miki Lentin
Parent Governor Member of Finance and Premises Committee. Link Governor to Media Studies Department
Term of office: 9th June 2020 – 8th June 2024
Personal Statement:
I have behind me a twenty-year career in communications, in both the private and public sectors. I am now a freelance communications consultant working across the creative and cultural sectors. Since moving to Crouch End in 2007 I have committed much of my spare time to working with local organisations. In that time, I was Chairperson of Highgate Tennis Club between 2014-16 and still play an active role with the Shepherd’s Cot Trust. Further, I am an active member of the Crouch End Chavurah, the local Liberal Jewish Community. I believe that a governor should have local links, understand the importance of community and establishing local partnerships. I have also become interested in supporting the refugee community in the UK, my family has housed two refugees and I have volunteered in refugee camps in Calais and Athens. Further, I volunteer with the Refugee Council, supporting refugees who are applying for jobs. I believe strongly in volunteering and being active through social justice and have seen that the school takes these issues seriously and supports many local, national and global causes.
