Highgate Wood School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. Also, this post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations. 

In line with KCSIE 2022 and safer recruitment practices, the school will conduct an online search for all shortlisted candidates. Please note the advertised actual salary is a range based on continuous service, with the maximum range indicating up to 4 continuous years with local government/schools. The starting salary will be calculated based on the individual circumstances of the successful candidate. 

Science Technician

Contract: Permanent, full time, 36 hours per week, all year round.
Haringey Support Salary Scale 5 – Spine Points 12 – 15 (£31,323 – £32,730)

Highgate Wood School wishes to appoint an adaptable, experienced and resourceful Science Technician for an immediate start.
The successful candidate will have the energy, dedication and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of our students and the success of the work of the Science Department.
The role requires excellent communication, proven experience of working as a school technician / background of working within a school Science department and posses a good standard of organisational and ICT skills.
