LEARNING RESOURCE CENTRE MANAGER
Salary Scale PO1 / Part time (0.8) term time.
FTE: £38,934 – £40,755 to be pro rata actual £29,470 – £30,848.
Highgate Wood School wishes to appoint an adaptable and resourceful Learning Resource Centre (Library) Manager for an immediate start.
The successful candidate will have the energy, dedication and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of our students and the success of the work of the Learning Resource Centre (LRC). The role is permanent, part time (0.8) term time, four days a week.
The post holder will ensure that the centre is a welcoming space where students can access diverse resources to support their academic development and achieve their full potential. A key focus will be to raise reading engagement, especially among reluctant readers, and to lead the successful implementation of the Accelerated Reader programme (or other reading intervention programmes).
Additionally, the role will involve delivering small group reading and writing interventions, leading extracurricular library-based clubs, and raising awareness of the Learning Resource Centre’s role within the wider school community.

POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT OFFICER
Support Staff Salary Scale 5 – Term Time – 36 hours a week
FTE £31,524-£32,931 – Actual pro rata £29,644 – £30,967.
Highgate Wood School wishes to appoint a resourceful, flexible and knowledgeable Positive Behaviour Support Officer for an immediate start.
The Positive Behaviour Support Officer’s primary responsibility will be providing support with operating the school’s behaviour support system. You will work closely with the Positive Behaviour Manager, Senior Leadership Team and Pastoral Teams to promote the positive behaviour across the school reengaging the students and improving their academic performance.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have the ability to form good working relationships with students and colleagues
• Have good oral and written communication skills
• Be able to adapt and be flexible in working practices and the ability to know when to use initiative
• Have a high degree of professionalism in your approach to work and tasks set
• Have an ability to be a good role model for students and colleagues
• Have experience of working with/caring for children or adults who have barriers to learning and/or special educational needs/behaviour issues
• Have experience working as part of a team
